Today started out early - 7:00am since the place I was staying had niether coffee or pastries. The last 10 miles though Big Sur were great - almost zero cars for the last two climbs- where there is no schoulder. At 30 miles I took a break and toured the Hearst Castle. Luckily I did not have to pedal to the top - a bus took us up the winding road to the top of hill where this impressive mansion stands. Two hours later, I was back on the road. Hot! Hot! The rest of the ride to San Lois Obiuis was into the wind. A quick tour through town looks pretty neat.
